Cloud inversion on Pendle

 

I have been lucky enough to see quite a few cloud inversions over the past few years. This one was good one on top of Pendle Hill in Spring 2008.

This was my lunch at Kishorn Seafood Bar. The Squat Lobsters are as good as they get.

Managed to grab a day in the Cuillin on Skye. As you can see it was a good day!

Where to go?

 

Helvellyn Sunrise

Went up Striding Edge at midnight, followed by a bivvy on top
of Helvellyn. Woke to a perfect cloud inversion across the Lake
District. It doesnt get much better than this.

Just got back from a rather good weekend in the Highlands.

Rum is a fantastic island to explore, and the kind folk at Kinloch Castle will let you use the showers at the end of long day on the hills!
